Cmd Work is a shared, collaborative tool — unlike some of our other Cmd apps, it isn't on-device only. To let a team see the same project and work items in real time, your project data lives on a server, protected by permissions so only people invited to a project can see it. We built it to be private by permission, not private by staying on your device.
You sign in with your existing Apple or Google account. We never see or store your password — Apple and Google handle authentication, and we receive only a verified identity token used to create your Cmd Work profile (name, email, and a unique ID).
Projects, work items, and team memberships are stored on our backend (Supabase, hosted in the United States) so your whole team can see live updates. Row-level security means a project's data is only ever readable by people who are active members of that project — not by other Cmd Work users, and not exposed publicly.
When you invite someone by email, we store that email address and project role until they accept (or you remove the invite). If they never sign up, we don't do anything further with it beyond holding the pending invite.
If you join the waitlist on this site, we store the email address you enter, plus the date and your browser's user-agent string, solely so we can tell you when Cmd Work launches. We don't sell or share it. Ask us to remove it any time at jack@happyjack.media.
We don't sell your data, use it to train models, or share it with advertisers. We don't read the contents of your work items for any purpose other than showing them back to your team and keeping the app running.
You can delete a project you own from within the app. To delete your account and all associated data entirely, email jack@happyjack.media.
